USRD is a Private Equity Group that provides structured funding and guaranteed turnkey contracts for joint-venture development of large-scale projects. USRD is an Architect of SCOPE – ‘Strategically Contracting with Operation Partners for Entitlement’, syndicating entry and exit strategies for successful execution of project initiatives. USRD leads project underwriting as an “Equity Funder,” bringing forth necessary capital and SCOPE partnerships to ensure turnkey operations on a multitude of project developments.
In 2005, USRD’s Founder & CEO, Surasak Khamsopa collaborated on an economic action plan intended for Hydrogen High Speed Rail. Unfortunately, in 2006 the plan was halted as the U.S. real estate market began to collapse. Having an extensive construction development background, Mr. Khamsopa began the process of “combining the elements of infrastructure development with high-speed rail.” In the development of this longtime goal, Mr. Khamsopa established backing from several Sovereign Wealth Fund Groups to collateralize funding for all future infrastructure development projects.
In 2010, Mr. Khamsopa was invited to lead the underwriting of the I-20 High Speed Rail corridor from Atlanta, GA to Birmingham, AL in-conjunction with a Sovereign Wealth Fund Group. He was designated to lead as an operation partner in the development of 10 corridors throughout to deliver necessary funding intended for the formerly proposed U.S. National High Speed Rail masterplan.
By 2013, Mr. Khamsopa sought to develop a 24.5-mile expansion of the MARTA light rail throughout the greater Atlanta metro area. His efforts were joined with the support of a local real estate developer, and a strong community backing, led by a MARTA board member, Mr. Herald Buckley. Mr. Khamsopa obtained a commitment from a Sovereign Wealth Fund Group to collateralize a US$5.2 billion corporate bond for construction of the MARTA expansion, which included eleven (11) HUB Stations & TOC- Transit Oriented Community developments along the I-20 corridor in Atlanta, regrettably Mr. Buckley passed and USRD is currently restructuring local partnerships.
USRD is developing one-gigawatt of renewable energy with Native American Nations and has been engaged with the City of Las Vegas Metro to secure a conditional agreement for conceptual design of a 16-mile light rail development, which will include eight (8) hub stations. USRD integrated with a local developer in the City of Orlando, FL for the first phase of an eleven (11) mile Maglev transit system running from The Orlando International Airport to The Orange County Convention Center. This initiative will be coupled with approx. 2.2 million s/f of mixed-use real estate development. USRD is cooperating on rail development corridors spanning from Tucson to Phoenix and Phoenix to San Diego. Most recently, USRD has been collaborating full-time with NYSIDI Holding for implementation of a New York & New Jersey high speed rail system that co-joins vertical transit oriented community “hub” developments.
